Michael was born and bred in Southland. He graduated in 2020 with a Bachelor of Science majoring in Microbiology and Pharmacology from the University of Otago. Michael has experience working for Dunedin City Council where he worked as an undergraduate in a research capacity in a Taste and Odour study. Since graduating he has fulfilled the role of Water Supply Process Scientist. He has a breadth of experience in supporting water supplies to achieve their compliance duties and providing technical support to water treatment teams, interfacing between operations and compliance reporting duties. Michael has a passion for drinking water compliance and safety and is keen to continue to learn and grow in the Water Sector.

Interests

Michael is a big sports fan, especially of the NBA. He enjoys travelling and is yet to tick off New York to see the Knicks play. Michael enjoys spending time with his fiancé and his friends.
